An attack on your network for multiple hours or other events may cause your inboxes to get spammed with too much notifications. After a few notifications the message is clear: something is going on and you need to check the SecurityHive Portal.

When adding a notification event in Notification Center, a suggested Rate Limit is applied automatically. It is mentioned as "Notifications per hour". You are able to edit this limit in Notification Center. The configured amount is the maximum amount of notifications you will receive per hour. Configuring 0 means "unlimited", no maximum will be applied.

Before the limit is reached, you will receive a warning in the latest notification, telling you its the last message in this hour. The maximum notifications per hour will be reset each hour.

When the limit is reached, every new notification will be discarded.
