SecurityHive's Vulnerability Agent is now in Public BETA!
We're happy to announce SecurityHive's Vulnerability Agent is in public BETA!
What does the Vulnerability Agent do?
SecurityHive's Vulnerability Agent is a lightweight software application that runs quietly in the background of your device—be it a laptop, desktop, or server. Its primary function is to synchronize installed software and identify vulnerabilities on your device, no matter where you are.
With this Agent, there's no need for a Scanner Appliance. It's designed to cater to scenarios where deploying a physical or virtual scanner appliance may not be feasible. Here are a few common use cases:
Remote Work: Devices frequently used at home or outside the office.
Frequent Travel: Sales representatives, engineers, or field workers constantly on the move.
Single Hosted VPS: A server at a hosting provider without access to a dedicated scanner.
What does Public BETA mean?
At SecurityHive, we prioritize delivering stable, high-performance solutions you can trust. Before any solution goes public, it undergoes a thorough testing process.
Initially, our Vulnerability Agent was tested by a select group of experienced users during what we call the Private BETA phase. After several rounds of feedback and improvements, we've determined that the Agent is stable and ready for broader use. As such, we're now launching the Public BETA phase.
Why BETA?
A Public BETA allows us to gather real-world feedback from a larger group of users. While the Agent has been extensively tested and is reliable, the BETA tag indicates that we're open to further enhancements. Based on your feedback, we may tweak features or improve the user experience within the platform to ensure it meets your needs even better.
Rest assured, BETA does not mean unstable software. It simply signals that we're actively listening and committed to continuous improvement.
We invite you to try out the Vulnerability Agent and share your thoughts with us. Together, we can make SecurityHive even stronger!
