In order to authenticate with the SecurityHive API you'll need a Personal Access Token (PAT). You can create one at your user Profile.

You'll a section called Personal Access Tokens. Click Generate new token to create a new PAT.

Give your token a name to identify its purpose and select an expiration value. The expiration determines when this token expires. When expired, you'll have to generate a new token for security reasons.

Select the abilities for your token. Abilities help you to limit the components your custom application/script will have access to.

Click Generate token to retrieve your token. Save this token immediately, because you won't be able to retrieve the token value again.

You can manage your token and update its abilities anytime.
